Fréderic Platini, Secretary General of the Monegasque Red Cross, received a warm welcome on Tuesday, August 22, when he gave details of the second life of the Monaco Pavilion, which continues its life in Loumbila, Burkina Faso.

The Principality was the first country to design a detachable and recyclable pavilion. The result at Loumbila is breathtaking, Mr Platini said.
The audience, composed of curators from the pavilions of the participating countries at the Astana World Expo, as well as the directors and the president of the Kazakh Red Crescent, was enthusiastic about the Principality’s initiative through the Monegasque Red Cross.
Monaco’s move has aroused real interest and is likely to encourage other countries to reflect on doing the same thing in the future.
