The Monaco Red Cross presents the Burkina Faso Red Cross with a fully equipped ambulance

The Monaco Red Cross, an auxiliary to the public authorities, has two ambulances. The oldest of these ambulances has been donated to the Red Cross in Burkina Faso, a country where access to this type of vehicle is complicated and very expensive.
On 30^th April 2019, in the context of their cooperation, the Monaco Red Cross officially handed over a fully equipped ambulance to the Burkina Faso Red Cross.

On receiving the keys, the Secretary General of Burkina Faso’s Red Cross, Lazare Zoungrana, confirmed that the donation was extremely timely. Regularly in demand from all quarters during public events, it had often struggled to provide the necessary assistance to victims. Now, with this ambulance, it will be able to ensure that the injured are evacuated to health centres more efficiently.
The vehicle, purchased in the 1990’s, has only 25,000 km on the clock. However, the equipment installed in this Mobile Resuscitation Unit is designed for the treatment of all types of casualty, even the most serious.
Since 2008, the Burkina Faso Red Cross and the Monaco Red Cross have been enjoying a long-standing and constructive relationship marked by several joint undertakings.
