The Monaco Red Cross and Fights Aids Monaco united for the destitute

Joint commitment and resolve to support the vulnerable, particularly in these times of health crisis.

Monaco, 8^th February 2021 – At the headquarters of CRM on Monday 8^th February, HSH Prince Albert II, President of the Monaco Red Cross, handed over a cheque in an amount of €6,000 to HSH Princess Stéphanie, President of Fight Aids Monaco.

“Une lumière pour Noël” is an operation that took place from 1^st December 2020 to 31^st January 2021 in partnership with the Monaco City Council. A dedicated platform was set up online to enable donations to be quickly made in support of underprivileged and isolated individuals during the festive season.  A small light lit up on the virtual Christmas tree each time a donation was made.

€6,000 was raised thanks to the generosity of individuals and businesses.

Cooperation between these 2 associations has been ongoing for several years including support by the Monaco Red Cross for the affiliated members of Fight Aids Monaco. CRM transferred the entirety of all the donations received to Fight Aids Monaco within the framework of this operation.

• On behalf of Fight Aids Monaco: Christine Barca, Secretary General, Sabine Steiner-Toesca, Treasurer and Hervé Aeschbach, Coordinator.
