International
Since it was founded in 1948, the Monaco Red Cross has earned international recognition for its commitment to supporting vulnerable people around the world, providing emergency assistance during humanitarian crises and implementing development programmes.
In Monaco, it also works to educate and raise awareness about International Solidarity.
In addition to its activities within the Principality, the Monaco Red Cross also takes action internationally :
International Emergency Relief
It delivers on its humanitarian mandate by regularly responding to appeals for funding launched by its Federation, the ICRC, or other National Societies of the Red Cross and Red Crescent in the wake of major disasters across the globe.
International Solidarity
Since 2007, the CRM has had a dedicated International Humanitarian Section (SHI), equipped to respond to the needs expressed by the most vulnerable populations at all three levels of humanitarian aid intervention : Emergency, Rehabilitation, Development. Made up of international solidarity professionals and dedicated volunteers, the SHI team strives to help address the major challenges of the 21st century.
