Monaco, 03/09/2025: Yesterday morning, at the headquarters of the Monaco Red Cross, we welcomed Eric Frotier de Bagneux, an independent photographer and filmmaker, who has decided to take part in a major initiative: a bike trip across France to raise awareness and help dispel the myths and stigma surrounding bipolar disorder.
Through this human and sporting adventure, he hopes to break taboos, foster dialogue and promote greater understanding of mental health issues. A journey across France punctuated by meetings and interviews to encourage people to “open up” as Eric points out.
In front of an engaged audience, Eric presented his project and set off from Red Cross headquarters, cheered on by all present, including Frédéric Platini, Secretary General of the CRM and a friend of Eric Frotier de Bagneux, and Bettina Ragazzoni-Janin, Treasurer General.
Heartfelt congratulations on this inspiring project, which the Monaco Red Cross is proud to support with conviction. Mental health is a key priority in our missions, especially when it comes to assisting vulnerable people and those experiencing isolation.
Various training courses are organised by the CRM, including psychological first aid training introduced in 2023; courses aimed at people with disabilities, such as “Autrement Capable” (Otherwise Capable) in 2024 and 2025; and supervision workshops, launched in June 2025 and led by a psychologist, to improve understanding of cases and enhance the quality of care.
