A resounding success for the Monaco Red Cross Grande Braderie
Published on 30.10.2021On Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd October 2021, the Monaco Red Cross Grande Braderie opened its doors at the Chapiteau de Fontvieille after a year off due to the Covid-19 health crisis.
Monaco, 26/10/21 – Thanks to rigorous organisation and observation of health measures, the braderie proved to be hugely popular once again with the many visitors who came to pick up a bargain.
Total proceeds from the event amounted to around €100,000. This record amount will be allocated to the various actions carried out by the Red Cross throughout the year. Over the two days, 1,250 raffle tickets were sold with a peak level of sales just before the draw.
On Friday morning, H.S.H. Prince Albert II, President of the Monaco Red Cross, stopped off at the Braderie where he offered his warm greetings to all the volunteers and employees working at the stands.
On Saturday 23rd October, the “kids’ workshops”, supervised and run by our volunteers, welcomed children who had been dropped off by their parents whilst they did their shopping. The workshops enabled the children to learn more about the Red Cross and its actions thanks to fun activities. Approximately 55 children took part in the workshops throughout the day.
The Monaco Red Cross would like to extend its sincere thanks to all the players involved for helping to make the 2021 edition such a success, as well as the members of the public attending the event for their generosity.
