On Monday, 13th October 2025, the Monaco Red Cross had the honour of welcoming representatives from 45 National Societies from Europe and Central Asia for the Leadership Meeting of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
This high-level event, dedicated to strategic dialogue and the strengthening of partnerships, opened in the presence of Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene, respectively President and Vice-President of the Monaco Red Cross, as well as Ms Kate Forbes, President of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).
In his opening address, H.S.H. Prince Albert II commended the commitment and solidarity of the National Societies, underlining the importance of regional cooperation in addressing today’s humanitarian challenges.
The plenary sessions and bilateral meetings that followed offered an opportunity to discuss shared priorities and to strengthen ties among the Movement’s leaders, particularly during exchanges with Ms Kate Forbes and Her Highness Tunku Puteri, President of the Malaysian Red Crescent.
The opening of this event perfectly illustrates the Monaco Red Cross’s commitment to contributing actively to the international dynamic of the Movement and to promoting the humanitarian values that have united us for 60 years through the Fundamental Principles.
