Ageing with dignity

In Bosnia and Herzegovina and Armenia, we support vulnerable elderly people in improving their quality of life. In partnership with the Swiss Red Cross, we help implement home care services that allow older, disabled or ill individuals to receive social support and medical attention in the comfort of their own homes.

Child protection

In Burkina Faso and Côte d’Ivoire, we implement projects aimed at protecting the most vulnerable children — particularly young girls at risk of early migration, child labour, exploitation or trafficking. To reduce the dangers linked to unsafe migration, we promote access to education and support mothers in strengthening their livelihoods, helping them improve their families’ […]

Facilitating Access to Drinking Water, Hygiene, Sanitation and Food Diversification

Access to clean drinking water and adequate sanitation remains a major public health challenge in several West African countries. Our projects aim to encourage good hygiene habits, promote responsible waste management, ensure access to safe toilets, and support regular handwashing with soap.

Supporting women and girls who have experienced sexual violence

In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, we work alongside the International Aid Division of the Luxembourg Red Cross to support the efforts of the Panzi Foundation, founded by Dr Denis Mukwege, recipient of the 2018 Nobel Peace Prize. Together, we contribute to the socio-economic reintegration of women and girls who have survived wartime rape […]

Building a sustainable future

Encouraging community development

In Burkina Faso, community development is essential to improving the living conditions of local populations. It enables communities to organise themselves to meet basic needs, while fostering civic engagement and greater autonomy.

Training in life-saving techniques

First aid training is a vital tool for saving lives, reducing the severity of injuries and strengthening community resilience — particularly in parts of Africa where access to medical care can be limited. First aid education lies at the heart of the Red Cross’s mission, ensuring that individuals are better prepared to respond effectively in the […]

Rescue operations in the Central Mediterranean

The Monaco Red Cross supports the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, as well as the humanitarian organisation SOS Méditerranée, through both financial contributions and the secondment of personnel. One of its members has been deployed aboard the Ocean Viking, a humanitarian vessel conducting search and rescue missions in the Central Mediterranean. […]

Solidarity at the French/Italian border

Living conditions for migrants at the French–Italian border are often extremely precarious. Many face a lack of adequate shelter, limited access to drinking water, food and healthcare, and heightened exposure to harsh weather and insecurity.
