The Monaco Red Cross visits Geneva
Published on 30.10.2021On Tuesday 12th October 2021, H.S.H. Prince Albert II and a delegation of the Monaco Red Cross visited the headquarters of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies to inaugurate an exhibition showcasing twenty or so works donated by renowned artists at various gala events hosted by the Monaco Red Cross.
This art project has gone ahead despite the pandemic and symbolises the ties of friendship and mutual aid between Monaco and Switzerland.
The trip provided an opportunity to hold a high-level meeting in the presence of Mr Francesco Rocca, President of IFRC and Mr Jagan Chapagain, Secretary General. During the discussions, various issues were brought to the table including potential actions at both local and global levels to address climate change and pandemics.
Humanitarian challenges that the Monaco Red Cross has pledged to take up, by anticipating and taking the measures necessary to deal with the consequences of climate and health disasters.
