Environment

Every day, our planet suffers the consequences of climate change, affecting millions of lives around the world. As a humanitarian organisation, the Monaco Red Cross is not indifferent to the challenges that threaten our future. It is committed to adapting its programmes and operations to reduce its environmental footprint and to leading by example in ecological responsibility.

In 2019, it formalised this commitment by joining the Principality of Monaco’s Energy Transition Pact and signing the Climate and Environment Charter for Humanitarian Organisations—both key steps towards more sustainable development and enhanced environmental protection.

By signing this Pact, the Monaco Red Cross placed environmental concerns at the heart of its initiatives. It actively promotes sustainable development, contributing to Monaco’s “low-carbon strategy” with the goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.

The Monaco Red Cross continues its commitment to a more sustainable future by implementing concrete actions and strengthening its environmental partnerships. Volunteer engagement and public awareness remain key factors in achieving these ambitious goals.

The Monaco Red Cross remains firmly committed to continuing its efforts to build a more responsible and sustainable future.
